The Hermetic Writings 3rd Century

Wow. I really liked the message of this writing. I liked how it said, " Realize that nothing is impossible for you; recognize that you too are immortal and that you can embrace all things in your mind". How true that is. Nothing can stop you if you have the right attitude. If you want to bad enough you can accomplish anything. Nothing is impossible, if you want to become a millionaire, work hard, if you to be a certain profession, do well in school and you can accomplish anything. I liked how is said, " wanting to know God is the road that leads to God, and it is an easy road to travel". As we have a desire to become like God and be better as a person, it is easier to move forward in what we choose to do. It then says, " God will come to meet you everywhere, he will appear to you everywhere, in all times and places when you least expect it". Although we dont realize it, God is everywhere. He created the world and all things within it. He is there for us in everything we do and wants what is best for us. He puts different tools in our life to help us out and make us better people. This was a great speech and had some awesome insight.

    I found some real insights in this reading like you did. I totally agree with you, some people don't realize God is everywhere. In my own life at my darkest moments I didn't feel God at all but now that I look back I see God's hand holding the whole problem and He was waiting for me to TRUST Him with the problem. I had to release my white knuckles clinching so tightly to see God in my problem fighting my battle in honor of obedience.

    I also really liked how it talked about God being everywhere and how he made all things and therefore can be seen in all things. It is hard for me to understand how someone can look around and not see God behind nature and people. It is not crazy to not believe in God, I just think is kind of crazy to not admit that it looks like there could be a God. Some people say that they see zero evidence that God exists. ZERO EVIDENCE! Seriously! People claim there is evidence for both evolution and God. I think history proves that people have a natural ability to look at the world and think there is a God. After all, look at this old writing that talks about just that.

    Hey. The way u write reminds me of the way i write. lol. i felt like i was almost reading my own blog lol! but yea, i really liked that reading too, for pretty much the same reasons you did. To me it just has a sort of vastness to it, like i mean u cant physically do or be all of everything at once, i mean its physically impossible, because our bodies are something physical... lol but if you can be that way in the mind, then that probably brings you closer to percieving God.
