Ludwig Wittgenstein
I really liked this and thought it was so very true. I love how it said, " The solution of the problem that you see in life is to live in a way that will make what is problematic disappear. The fact that life is problematic means that life doesn't fit into life's shape. So you must change your life, and when it fits into shape, what is problematic disappears". This is a great summary that describes how we need to hit the pitches we are thrown in life and keep moving on. So many people get caught up in the bad things in life they are dealing with and not all the good. They therefore need to allow their life to fit into life's shape and realize all the good that can come from their life. I also like how it said, " The truth can be spoken only by someone who already lives inside it; not by someone who still lives in untruth and only sometimes reaches out from untruth toward it". My dad has always told me actions speak louder than words. This has really rung out to me in everyday life and with those that I associate with. You can really tell of those who are a part of the truth. This is shown through their actions and the way they manifest themselves. This is why I feel that there is no better way to show people the truth than by your example and the way you live your life. This was a great speech.

I love how you wrote hit the pitches we are thrown because I am a avid softball player. I was always told: "to roll with the punches" similar to a boxer moving with the punch because my dad was a avid spector of televised boxing. Totally actions speak louder then words and also stick better then glue in our memory to the people involved. Especially when people view your actions during a life crisis. Event times Reaction equals our Outcome. E x R= O. We have no control over the events in our life but we have total control of our reaction to the event and this gives us our outcome. It helps with me reacting to stuff!
ReplyDelete“We need to hit the pitches we are thrown in life and keep moving on.” Great blog. I wish more people would stop focusing on life being horrible and out of their control and start focusing on what they are in control of. Terrible things happen in life, but we do not have to react to them terribly. I do not believe in being a victim. I believe in being a survivor. Actions certainly do speak louder than words. I agree with your assessment that truth is shown through one’s actions. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if you know the right answers if you do not act upon them.
